On Monday afternoon Annie, our dance teacher, invited us to a MS dance show in the Center Building. The performance showcased the MS' work with silks, dance bags, velcro ribbons, movement and sound. The children were mesmerized by the wonderful dances and loved having the chance to interact with the dancers. Some Sky students were even called on stage to participate in a few numbers.
The show also helped our students get ready to start dance class with Annie. In dance we will work on cooperating and collaborating with our classmates. We will also develop more body awareness and control. Students were able to watch the MS perform some dance exercises that they will play with later this spring. We will have dance class in half groups every Tuesday afternoon until the end of the year.
